Charles Hawk: What’s your opinion on balancing poker with other live activities, and how do you do that?

I think balancing poker with other activities is essential to having a long career. Some people seem to feel time away from grinding is costing you money, but I personally feel like its needed in order to not get burned out and to live a healthy life style. It's still important to maintain a proper work schedule, but its also necessary to have other things on the go. I feel if someone has only one thing that makes up their entire life and that one thing starts to go poorly, it can be quite stressful. Go out with friends and do non poker related things. Then be ready to focus when it's time to play.

Charles Hawk:Tell me about your journey to the 100s: struggles you faced, lessons you learned, strengths you gained, weaknesses which you eliminated from your game. How long did it take to establish yourself in 100s? How many games did you play? Tell me about your swings...

Chris "CHD17" Horn-Davis: I started playing 15 Husng turbos two years ago and shortly moved to 30s. That is when I started taking poker more serious and really working on my game.  Pbogz helped me quite a bit when i was at 60s.

Chris "CHD17" Horn-Davis: The 100s have been a great experience. I first started playing 100s last year and lost 50 buy-ins fairly fast. My approach was all wrong and I had some leaks that were costing me. This year I have been getting coached by Sverigelottn and he has helped me a lot. I have around 700 games at 100 and plan to continue battling 100s and move my way up the stakes. The biggest struggle I have faced with 100s division is the swings. Playing regulars means much smaller edges. As far as strengths I just review and work on my game when I'm not playing and keep trying to better my game.

Introduction

I'm 27 – from Estonia – officially the laziest person to have ever walked the earth. I enjoy fairly simple things in life, like eating well and lots of it while having a pint of liquid gold in my hand, spending time with friends, which moslty relates to me and and my best buddy being the biggest drunkard degens we have yet to encounter.

When I have the time I love being out in the countryside visiting my grandparents, even if it's just for a few days, getting away from literally everything -  not having your laptop with you, checking mails, being on skype or having to watch that one ridiculously hilarious youtube video someone just sent you is really the most enjoyable way for me to relax.

Charles Hawk: How does your ordinary day look like? What is your grinding routine?

I get up around 2pm, spend an hour “waking up” and try to make a shedule for the day.
Being part of HUSNG staking group means there is a coaching session pretty much every day, mostly some time in the afternoon for me – so I try to accommodate for that as well as I can.

Pbogz Blog #1

Hey guys,

So I've never been much of a blogger, but figured it would fit in just fine with me streaming as well. So, for starters, lets talk about our very slow start in the bankroll challenge. Honestly, it really isn't much of a surprise. The swings and run bad on these sites are just insane. Being " live" does help push through the nonsense but I figured that what I'm doing away from the tables is just as important. recently, I started eating healthy. Drinking some fruit smoothies in the Am that just happen to be loaded up with protein. Who needs coffee?? :). Also, doing my best to meditate as much as possible. I don't think people realize how powerful meditation can actually be. If you haven't tried it before. Go for it and let me know how it went when you see me on the stream. Overall, poker is all about balance because life will throw you a bunch of curve balls. Like waking up with a tooth ache angry. Anyways, I hope this blog will gain some interest and I'll be updating at least twice a week!

See you on the stream guys and gals!!!

Interview with SpinWiz owner and creator Sander Meister

My name is Sander Meister, I'm a 24 years old handsome guy from Estonia.

I've been "programming" since I was 14. I've been working for myself online since I was 16.

My main interests have always been game development, bot development and security.

For several years I wrote automation software for internet marketers such as eWhore IM bots, social network bots, CPA bots etc.

I have wrote several tools for gambling/poker also, such as a bot for PartyPoker, registration tools for PokerStars and a few programs to beat player vs player skill games in online casinos.

Charles Hawk: When and how did the development of SpinWiz start?

Sander Meister: The development of SpinWiz started in December 2014 when the majority was still convinced spins are not beatable.

My friend "frontbet" came to me and said I should stop everything I'm doing right now and work on a poker tool with him.

He spent a week at my place to help me with all the theoretical stuff. At first it was pretty much just the two of us, but now SpinWiz is owned by 5 people.

Interview with Mihai “cybermitzu” M.

Introduction

I’m 26 years old and live in Bucharest, Romania. I was in my second year of college studying Management and Marketing when I started playing poker. I didn’t like the idea of a 9-5 job, and I had some friends who were making money in poker so I decided to try it.

Although I only played Holdem, when I started I was playing every format: mtt, sng, cash, freerolls, you name it. After I was becoming more comfortable with the game, I decided to focus on one specific game type and chose HUSNG because a couple of my friends were doing well with them. At that type, reg speeds were the main game type and there wasn’t much for information other than HUSNG.com. Guys like HokieGreg, Croixdawg, and Primordialaa were producing content at that time and giving regular strategy advice. Although access to information wasn't nearly as easy as now, I was still able to study quite a bit and after I was comfortable with my game, I climbed from the lower stakes to being a $100-$200 reg.
