Interview with pavels4444

Charles Hawk: When you started playing poker and how you discover/was introduced to it? Tell me about the main turning point between playing recreationally and becoming pro who earns money regularly?

pavels4444: I started playing towards the end of high school with my friends. It was around that time when I discovered online poker. I deposited $10 and played for fun in my first year of university while managing to win a few hundred $ in various games. Later I discovered Heads-Up SNGs and really liked the game. I decided to study the game more and earn money in summer playing poker instead of taking some random summer job. My parents thought I was crazy, fortunately it all worked out in the end. I bought a book “The Mathematics of Poker” and subscription to husng.com (especially enjoyed mersenneary’s videos) and began playing 7s Turbos on Stars. I had okay results, moved up conservatively to 30s by the end of 2011 despite running a lot below EV. That completely changed in 2012. I switched to the hyper-turbo format, started at 15s, and managed to earn $5k and move up to 60s within the first month. Yes, I ran like god 

Interview with Helio "hneves182" Neves

Two days ago Helio "hneves182" Neves took down TCOOP #1 $27 NLH 6-max event for $110,000!

Charles Hawk: Congratz about your run. How are you feeling? Tell me about your emotions and thoughts.

Helio "hneves182Neves: Feeling pretty good, there's nothing like the sense of relief/accomplishment that comes after a nice MTT win. I had too many close finishes for 6 figure scores on the last ~6 years so I was really looking forward to finally getting one.

Charles Hawk: It was the very first tournament of TCOOP marathon. Have you planned to play this event? How long everything lasted?

With HUSNG.com, I've set up a twitch seminar with special guest Adam "Coffeeyay" on Friday, February 19th at 8pm CET on my twitch channel.

http://www.twitch.tv/pyhakaru

And here is a picture of the stream for you all to get an idea of the setup.

I started playing Spin N Gos at the beginning of December last year at 15s with the goal to break through to 100s. I had 0 hyper turbo experience but did crush 15 and 30$ 4 man turbos last year and claimed three nr.1 spots on sharkscope leaderboards.

I played about 800 games in 15s before moving up to 30s. This is my 30s graph so far with a 75 chips per game EV. The volume has come from playing 3 tables on stream a large majority of the time.

Interview with Mateusz “uczniak” Zbikowski

Charles Hawk: When have you started grinding spins? What have you grinded before?

Mateusz “uczniak” Zbikowski: I moved to spins as my main game in April 2015; before that I used to grind MTT (2011-2015) and started my career with cash games (2007-2011).

Charles Hawk: How much time to you spend to work off-tables? How do you learn (a theory)? Which tools do you use?

Mateusz “uczniak” Zbikowski: I work off the tables a lot, especially in the last few months, hence lower volume. I like to have solid GTO foundations as my default strategy and go from there when it comes to adjusting to exploitable tendencies. As a result the main tool I use is PioSolver, which I believe is ahead of the pack among existing GTO calculation software.

Charles Hawk: What have you learned not from theory but from practice?

PokerTracker is aware of an error with custom HUDs that happened during a recent update. We recommend you do not update your PT4 software until it is patched.

If you have already updated and you are experiencing an error that does not allow your HUD to work at all, we recommend this temporary solution (you may have to perform it each time you restart PT4):

go to Hud -> Edit Hud Profiles, selects the bad profile and clicks ‘Options’ then ‘Replace with Original,' doing that should resolve the issue.

We will update this topic with all important updates.

Spin&Go PROPBET: 100k$ betted against me, 20k games & 2.5 EVROI in 61 days.

$

Hello im spanish poker player, my name is Alvaro, im 22 yo, and I have been playing poker for 2 years now. Moved to spins about 10 months ago and didnt play that much. I am a bit dismotivated at the moment so this is why I decided to do this to challenge myself.

My prop bet is to play 20.000 games at 100$ Spins with at least 2.5%EVroi pre-rback in a two month period (equivalent to 61 days). This means that I have to earn at least 80.000$ of EV (rback included). Jackpots won't influence this bet since the EVROI stat that I (and most regs) use is based on chipEV and not actual $.

My challenge was previously posted on twoplustwo but for some strange reason they dont allow me to have it there, so I will move it here. (You can check old previous messages and all info here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/174/poker-goals-challenges/spin-go-propbet-two-months-20k-games-100-stakes-2-5-evroi-pre-rakeback-1591843)
The challenge has already started on March 2cnd at 00.00, so it ends in 1 May at 23:59, totalling 61 days.

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar about the start of the 2016

Charles Hawk: First of all tell me please your motivation and everything emotion-related about starting your 2016 performance (knowing the fact about rake decrease). Was your start of the year any different than you can recollect from the past?

Daniel 'Pl@yerABC' Sklar: Speaking about motivation and emotion-related stuff, I am at the top of my game. I started the year 2016 with the resolve to improve my game to be able to play poker and make money no matter what happens in the poker environment.

I bought wonderfull video-pack: "coffeeyay - GTO in HUSNGs". Actually, it is not only a videopack. Part of the purchase are GTO solutions you can browse online using GTORangeBuilder software. This GTO stuff is so interesting and valuable! I started to work with GTORangeBuilder and later with the SimplePostflop software (I also recommend Coffeeyay Spin&Go SBvsBB Pack). And that's not the end of the list! There are so many ways how to improve your game, I am thrilled! Lately I have watched Pbogz Twich Stream with Coffeeyay and I made like 5 pages of notes. Last few days I was like a small kid waiting for the candy, finally the PyhaKaru's Twich Stream was published on the Youtube. I am going to watch it and I am sure I will find a lot of valueable information there.
